If
you are following our directions to locate the waterfalls on the
Shelving Rock Brook Middle Tributary, you will come to a point
on this brook where the North Spur enters on your left as you
are facing upstream. It is at this point that the
Shelving Rock Brook Middle Tributary Falls #5 can be seen a
short distance ahead on your right. On the left on the North
Spur, you will see this drop a short distance upstream.
Shelving Rock Brook empties into Lake George. The water
from this then flows through La Chute into Lake Champlain.
The flow then goes north through Canada on the Richelieu River and
empties into the St. Lawrence River.
Please note
that the Shelving Rock Brook is officially named but these
tributaries and the falls on them are unnamed. We have
chosen these monikers to simplify the cataloging of the
waterfalls.
