Continue upstream from falls #4 and
you will come to a split in the brook. At this fork, Shelving Rock Brook
continues to the right and you will see this drop about 30 yards
ahead on that waterway.
Here, Shelving
Rock Brook Middle Tributary North Spur enters the Middle
Tributary on the left fork. Looking upstream on that spur,
Shelving Rock Brook Middle Tributary North Spur Falls #1 is
directly in front of you.Shelving Rock Brook empties into Lake George. The water
from this then flows through La Chute into Lake Champlain.
The flow then goes north through Canada on the Richelieu River and
empties into the St. Lawrence River.
Please note that the Shelving Rock Brook is
officially named but these tributaries and the falls on them are
unnamed. We have chosen these monikers to simplify the
cataloging of the waterfalls.
