Continue a short distance upstream from
Shelving Rock Brook South Tributary Falls #9.
This is a multi-step drop totalling about 15 to 20 feet.
Along with drop #2, this waterfall is one of the top two
impressive locations on this stream.
The first photo in the array emphasizes the bottom of the
waterfall. You can barely see the upper part due to the
foliage. Photo number two shows the center section a bit more
clearly. The final picture shows part of the falls later
in the summer showing very little waterflow. Shelving Rock Brook empties into Lake George. The water
from this then flows through La Chute into Lake Champlain.
The flow then goes north through Canada on the Richelieu River and
empties into the St. Lawrence River.
Webmaster's note: Our thanks to Gary Dilmore for the
pictures, directions and information on this waterfall.
