A short distance upstream from Falls #1 is Falls #2, maybe a
5 minute hike in between the two falls. I was on the left side
of the brook and didn't see this one until I was above it so I
had to circle back down below and cross the brook to capture
this photo. This is an 8' drop and probably my favorite falls on
this brook.
Butternut Brook empties into Lake George.
The flow then goes north through LaChute, Lake Champlain and
then through Canada on the Richelieu River. It eventually
empties into the St. Lawrence River.
