When we first
found out about this waterfall, we were told that it is on the property
of the H.C. Smith Benefit Club, which officially operates as the
St. Johnsville Civic Club, Inc. We have since found out that
the Village of St. Johnsville owns the property the club is on,
but the waterfall itself is on adjacent private property and is
fenced off.
In May 2015, we received an email from a lady who lives just
down the road from this waterfall. She has offered to guide
us to it on a route that does not involve posted land. We
are making plans for that to occur. She provided
the pictures we have here.
The Timmerman Creek empties into the Mohawk River about 1.6 miles
downstream from this location. This flows into the Hudson
before reaching the Atlantic Ocean.
