This waterfall is located just southeast of the city
of Watertown. Although it is within sight of the
road, you are looking over the its crest so it isn't a
good view. It is located on private property.

This is one of those many rural waterfalls that at one point was
popular with the local youth as a swimming hole/party spot.
Just southeast of the city of Watertown, that practice is no
longer. A number of years ago, a home was built on the
property and the waterfall is now the main view from their front
porch.
Because this waterfall is located on private property,
getting pictures of it has been an issue. We have wanted
to stop for quite some time but just never got around to it.
Sometimes, things are just meant to be. In September 2018,
fate intervened. The webmaster's next door neighbor's
daughter bought the property. We have been there multiple
times now.
We can't stress too greatly that this is private property so
enjoy the photos and video.
The Staplin Creek flows into the North Branch of the Sandy Creek
not far downstream from here. This flows into the Sandy Creek which eventually reaches
Lake Ontario.
