As you enter Potsdam on US 11 from the
south, Route 11 will take you across the river. The
best views can be had from the end of Raymond Street.
This is a short dead-end street on the river side of downtown
Potsdam. Take a right at the traffic light after crossing
the bridge and then a right on Raymond Street.

The Potsdam
Dam is located in the village of Potsdam. This dam is actually
two part, with a span on both the east and west sides of an island
in downtown Potsdam. The eastern side is closer to downtown.
We do not have any information as to whether there was a waterfall
here before the dam was built.
The Raquette River empties into the St. Lawrence River in Massena,
New York.
