For those not inclined to use a GPS to locate this site, find NY
28 which runs between Indian Lake in Hamilton County and North
Creek in Warren County. Roughly half way between
North Creek and the OK Slip Falls parking area, you will find
the hamlet of North River.
Just north of this
community, 13th Lake Road will exit NY 28 in a southwesterly
direction. Follow this until you come to Beach Road on
your right. The parking area is at the end of this road.
From here, follow the Peaked Mountain Trail along Thirteenth
Lake. At about 3/4 mile, the trail will turn right, away
from the lake. In another one-quarter mile, you will come
to this waterfall.

Please note that there is another drop on this creek a short
distance upstream. We have dubbed that
Peaked Mountain Brook
Falls #2. Also note that this is the trail to the top
of Peaked Mountain. Anyone choosing to climb that summit
is looking at a 7.6 mile hike with an elevation change of about
1400 feet!
The Peaked Mountain Brook flows into Thirteenth Lake.
This in turn flows through Thirteenth Brook which empties into
the Hudson River just upstream of Mouse Rapids. The Hudson
flows into the Atlantic Ocean in New York
City.
