As a technically unnamed waterfall,
we have called it this because of its location. It is a very
pretty little waterfall but we ask you to enjoy the pictures.
Back "in the day" this was a popular swimming spot for
the locals, but now the area containing the falls is privately owned.
The photographer in this case has known the property owner since
they were young and was allowed access. We have been intentionally
vague in the directions to this one because the owner is adamant
in regard to trespassers on the property.
The Little River flows into the Mad River just downstream from
this location. This is not the same Mad River that contains
the Mad River Falls in Oswego County, although it isn't far from
it. This Mad River flows into the Fish Creek West Branch in
Camden. From there the water flows into the Fish Creek which
empties into the Erie Canal at Sylvan Beach about 0.6 mile from
the eastern end of Oneida Lake. From here, the water flows
through the Oneida River where it joins forces with the Seneca River
in Three Rivers, a community in Clay, New York, just northwest of
Syracuse. The Oswego River empties into Lake Ontario in the
city of Oswego.
