The Jenny Creek, which is no more than 4.8 miles
long, contains at least four waterfalls on about a two mile stretch
of the waterway. The one most downstream has a common local
name. The other three are unnamed. This one is noted
on USGS topographical maps simply as "Falls". Since
it is the middle of three unnamed falls that we know of on this
stretch, we have dubbed it the Jenny Creek Middle Falls.
The Jayville Road is paved for the first 0.8 miles and then turns
to dirt and gravel. The pictures we have were taken several
years ago. At that time, the area wasn't posted. Currently,
however, it is posted. We are trying to contact the landowner
to gain access and additional information. As always, since
this is private and posted, please be considerate and honor the
landowner's rights.
The Jenny Creek flows into the Big Creek which flows into the
West Branch of the Oswegatchie River. This joins the main
channel near the hamlet of Talcville in the town of Edwards.
The Oswegatchie empties into the St. Lawrence River in
Ogdensburg.
