Directions
From the hamlet of Russell, cross the Grass River on
the CR 24 bridge and go west on CR 17. In about a
mile, there is an island on the right.
This waterfall is visible on both sides of the island. Park on the roadside.

Another of the many unnamed falls on the Grass
River, this one is known locally as Burts Falls. There are
falls on both sides of the island.
This waterfall can also be seen from the north side of the
river. This is Pestle Street Road, but you are looking
over the crest of the falls, so the view is not as favorable.
You also can not see the south channel from there and,
once you are off the highway, you are on private property.
The south side of the river is your better option.
The Grass River flows into the St. Lawrence River in Massena,
in St. Lawrence County.
Note: Depending upon which map or sign you are using, this
river is referred to as either Grasse or Grass.
Officially, it is Grass.
