We have dubbed this very small
waterfall the Slater Road Falls because it is visible from the edge
of the Slater Road near the intersection of the Glenmore Road.
The Florence Creek flows into the Fish Creek East Branch which
then flows into the Erie Canal at Sylvan Beach about 0.6 mile from
the eastern end of Oneida Lake. From here, the water flows
through the Oneida River where it joins forces with the Seneca River
in Three Rivers, a community in Clay, New York, just northwest of
Syracuse. The Oswego River empties into Lake Ontario in the
city of Oswego.
