This waterfall is on the property of High Braes Refuge, a
Christian ministry and camping retreat. This is private
property.
Our initial information about this location is that there are
three drops here. We were later told that there are two.
Upon visiting we discovered that there are two named drops.
Lower Falls is on the refuge property and Upper Falls is a few
hundred yards upstream on a second property which is posted.
When you reach the brook, there is a walkbridge. Lower
Falls is 150 feet or so downstream. Almost immediately
under the bridge is a somewhat incidental drop that we are going
to call Walkbridge Falls. About 150 feet upstream is an
unnamed falls that we are going to refer to as Middle Falls.
This is not on the refuge property but can be seen from the
bridge. Upper Falls is still further upstream and can not
be seen from the refuge property.
These pictures are of Lower Falls, which is what this
waterfall is known as locally. We have attached the reference to the
brook to clarify since there are multiple Lower Falls in the
north country.
The Stony Brook empties into the Salmon River just upstream
of the Salmon River Reservoir. The Salmon then flows through
Pulaski and into Lake Ontario.
