From Fort Ann, take CR 16 north, then bear right onto
South Bay Road. Park in the pull-off on the right

Kane Falls is an officially
named waterfall, listed on the USGS GNIS. Our picture and
info on this waterfall were provided by a contributor.
parking area, there ia a pathway
to the top of the falls. There are posted signs on some of
the land so, for some time, we had indicated on this page that
perhaps some of the property was private but that some might be
public. We received an email in July 2017 that
"Kane Falls is totally privately owned". No reference was
given in the email as to the relationship between the sender and
the property owner, but we assume this to be true.
Satellite images of this area show that this waterfall
divides around an island, creating two "bottoms" of this falls.
The Halfway Creek empties into the Champlain Canal at Fort Ann.
The water from this then flows into the Head of Lake Champlain.
The flow then goes north through Canada on the Richelieu River and
empties into the St. Lawrence River.
